Orthodontics

Dr. Muradin uses the most advanced orthodontic tools, to provide you with the highest levels of orthodontic treatment. Instead of a “one size fits all” approach used in typical straight wire appliances, your dentist customizes your braces and wires. Since the braces have been specifically made for you, faster and more effective treatment can be expected. Your dentist trained at Progressive Orthodontic Seminars, in the most comprehensive and best networked orthodontic continuing education program in the industry. Your dentist has learned to use computerized orthodontics to provide you the most effective and detailed diagnosis and treatment. By using the most advanced computerized orthodontics for treatment, your doctor makes sure that every detail of your case is analyzed before starting, to give you the best smile and care.

Each Patient is Different

The Individual Patient (IP) Appliance® was the first customized appliance system in the world. In the current standard in orthodontics, dentists use appliances with one bracket design and one archwire for all patients, which most of the times is not sufficient to treat all tooth movements. However, the IP Appliance® revolutionized orthodontics by allowing doctors to customize the optimal appliance for each patient. This customization results in more accurate and more consistent treatment results. Tens of thousands of successful cases from all over the world have already proven that this is the most efficient way to straighten your teeth, the next generation of orthodontics.

A Progressive smile uses computer generated orthodontic technology that produces faster and more stable results. Your braces will be individually designed for the most effective treatment. With the aid of computers, your dentist diagnoses your teeth, bone structure, and facial profile to develop your treatment plan and customize your brackets. Your dentist uses cutting edge orthodontic technology to create the optimal treatment plan for you. Your doctor analyzes every detail before the case starts to interpret any potential problems before they happen. Some of the technologies used include digital cephalometric analysis, model measuring, visual treatment objectives and 3D cbct scans

Orthodontics - INVISIBLE ortho

Invisible orthodontics such as Clear Correct®, Clear Aligner® or AirSmile® are well-known transparent and removable orthodontic appliances for all purposes. These are digitally- made Clear Aligners by a 3D CAD CAM system. With this very precise and highly qualified appliance of advanced technology, it takes one visit to our clinic to get these aligners produced.

Our invisible aligners are aesthetic and comfortable for the orthodontic patient. As it is removable and transparent it does not interfere with your daily life. To get a good result it is advisable to wear the aligners 17 - 24 hours a day. Invisible orthodontics is not only suitable for adults; children are not bothered by the aligners either.

Quick, convenient, and effective, laser dentistry allows you to achieve a healthier, more radiant smile with only a minimal investment of your time. We invite you to review some of the laser dentistry procedures we feature at our laser dentistry practice and then contact our office for more information or to schedule a consultation with Dr. Eric Muradin, M.Sc.

Laser - DIAGNOdent

The powerful, extremely precise DIAGNOdent® laser light allows us to detect and diagnose tooth decay in its earliest stages. It also enables us to identify decay in less accessible areas, such as the cracks and crevices of your teeth. By treating tooth decay before it has a chance to spread, you increase your chances of preserving your natural teeth and reduce the likelihood of future pain and damage. Prevention is always the best solution to tooth problems, and the DIAGNOdent® laser makes such prevention easier than ever.

Laser - EmunDo® Photothermal Therapy

More than 75% of adults suffer from periodontitis (PD) and other bacterial infections of the gums or the oral cavity. Attempts to clean the bleeding gums may lead to the transfer of bacteria in the mouth into the bloodstream (bacteremia) potentially causing the bacteria to spread throughout the body.

The consequence: Unwanted bacteria may result in cerebrovascular diseases.Due to the Stress on the immune system, the risk of diseases of the arteria carotis, heart attacks, arthritis, diabetes and premature births are rising. Therefore, PD bacteria is more harmful than smoking, obesity or high cholesterol levels.

Now it is possible to reduce or totally avoid the use of antibiotics- and eliminate all of the associated health risks- for patients with periodontitis. Independent of antibiotic resistance, EmunDo selectively destroys the relevant PD-Germs.

EmunDo Therapy reaches germs  even in deep gingival pockets.

Laser - Cosmetic Gum Surgery

Most soft tissue procedures that would normally be performed with a scalpel can now be carried out more quickly and with less discomfort with laser. There is often no need for stitches, depending on the procedure, no need for antibiotics and healing can happen up to five to six times faster.

For example, a laser cosmetic gum lift across the front six teeth (left images) would require you to spend less than half the time in the dental chair as conventional surgery. A predictable outcome can be achieved with little or no bleeding, and post-operative painkillers are usually not needed. You can also have your teeth whitened within a week, compared with the obligatory six to eight weeks’ healing required following conventional gum surgery.

Black, brown or dark spots, discolorations or splotches on the gums are usually nothing to worry about, but they can be unsightly and cause embarrassment or self-consciousness when smiling. The problem with gum spots is that they can make healthy gums falsely appear unhealthy. The gums are often just as visible as the teeth, therefore the appearance of healthy gums is just as important as healthy teeth are to a great smile. With dental laser treatment, these spots can be removed quickly - with amazingly fast healing time.

Laser - Endodontic treatment

Clinical studies clearly show advantages of laser treatments over currently-used conventional methods and techniques. The most important advantages are improved disinfection efficacy, more effective root

canal cleaning, reduction of permeability, reduction of micro-leakage, and elimination of the need to use toxic solvents.

Fotona’s TwinLight® Endodontic Treatment (TET) successfully addresses the two major disadvantages of classical chemo-mechanical treatment procedures: the inability to clean and debride anatomically complex root-canal systems and to deeply disinfect dentinal walls and tubules.

Implants

A dental implant is the closest thing to a natural tooth modern dental science has been able to design. The implant itself – the component that gets placed in the jawbone at the site of the missing tooth – is composed of really strong titanium metal and it is designed to resume the function of the missing tooth root.

Over time, your jawbone will actually bond to the implant in a process called “osseointegration.” This is what enables a dental implant to remain permanently in place in your mouth.

If you have one or more missing teeth, or teeth that have become so damaged and/or decayed that they need extracting, Dr. Muradin may recommend dental implants as a very comprehensive treatment solution. Dr. Muradin utilizes ultra-modern implant procedures and is qualified and very experienced in both the placement and restoration of dental implants for single and multiple tooth replacement.

Also known as an ‘artificial root’ we also provide FULL CERAMIC and METAL-FREE implants made of super strong Zirconia-ceramic.

Implants - teeth-in-on-day

All-on-4 provides edentulous patients with an efficient and reliable restoration using four implants to support an immediately delivered full-arch prosthesis.

All New Teeth in Only ONE Day? Yes, It is possible!

The Teeth-in-a-Day concept is a specific treatment for total replacement of all your teeth supported on multiple implants. The reason this works is that the multiple implants are splinted and fixed in place to each other by the new teeth attached to them. Implants are only successful if there is NO micro-movement during the first few months after they are placed, and the Teeth-in-a-Day concept works well because the implants can be placed and splinted so no movement occurs. Together with a very soft diet for the first few weeks, this approach is a predictable and successful treatment for those people who are good candidates for it.

The All-on-4® treatment concept is a great treatment option for those who qualify. The treatment is a reality. If you currently have loose dentures or bad/failing teeth, in many cases we can get you eating with rock-solid non-removable implant supported teeth in one day! It is suitable for UPPER and / or LOWER jaw.

Implants - 3D implant palcement with CBCT

With our own High-Tech CBCT imaging x-ray system we are able to examine, plan and perform implant dentistry in the most accurate and most predictable way that is available on the planet.

Lumineers

Lumineers are digitally designed to be ultra-thin (about as thin as a contact lens), so they can be applied seamlessly over your teeth to deliver a natural looking smile. That’s why Lumineers is the #1 patient-requested veneer system in the world. We only use original Lumineers made by Cerinate – DenMat from the US. Available in our clinic in the heart of Europe.

Veneers - in ONE appointment

The advantages of these new generation veneers are that they can be made in One appointment, Minimal invasive, have a Natural look, are Long lasting, Biocompatible and Economical (50% less in cost than ceramic veneers).

Also available are direct ONE APPOINTMENT veneers made from special composites.

Botox

Botox is a trade name for botulinum toxin, which comes in the form of a purified protein. The mechanism of action for Botox is really quite simple. Botox is injected into the facial muscles but really doesn’t affect the muscle at all. Botulinum toxin affects and blocks the transmitters between the motor nerves that innervate the muscle. There is no loss of sensory feeling in the muscles. Once the motor nerve endings are interrupted, the muscle cannot contract. When that muscle does not contract, the dynamic motion decreases. The effects of Botox last for approximately three to four months, at which time the patient needs retreatment.

Botox has important clinical uses as an adjunct in TMJ and bruxism cases, and for patients with chronic TMJ and facial pain. Botox is also used to complement aesthetic dentistry cases, as a minimally invasive alternative to surgically treating high lip line cases, denture patients who have trouble adjusting to new dentures, lip augmentation, and has uses in orthodontic cases where retraining of the facial muscles is necessary. See image (left), how the jaw muscles reduce in size after relaxation of the muscles due to Botox treatments. No other healthcare provider has the capability to help patients in so many areas as do dentists.

Dr. Eric Muradin has been certified in 2006 and has experience with these Botox and dermal fillers for a long time. Dentists give injections all the time – this is just learning how to give another kind of injection that is outside the mouth but is in the same area of the face that we inject all the time. We also have a distinct advantage over dermatologists, plastic surgeons, medical aestheticians, and nurses who commonly provide these procedures in that we can deliver profound anaesthesia in these areas before accomplishing these procedures. I will never forget that during my training, my patients were completely comfortable during treatment because of my ability to deliver proper anaesthesia to these areas. One of the biggest complaints patients have about treatments by other health practitioners is the pain. They always are surprised how we as dentists can make it numb, almost painless and much more comfortable.

MICROSCOPE

Mostly used for endodontic treatments (rootcanal) a microscope can be used for a numerous of other indications. Such as can be seen (left) here how we remove a broke screw from the inside of an dental implant. With ‘normal’ eyes this would not have been possible at all.

PerioSafe ImplantSafe Enzyme TEST.jpg
PerioSafe - ImplantSafe - Enzyme Test

Your health is

Periosafe® is a saliva-based enzyme test for finding out if you have gum disease (gingivitis) or loss of periodontal tissue (periodontitis). The test makes it possible to discover the disease even before it can be diagnosed in a clinical examination.

The test can also measure the effectiveness of treatment and reactivation of gum disease following periods of active treatment and maintenance treatment.

Periodontitis is a chronic inflammation of the supporting tissues around the teeth. The jawbone can be affected; teeth and molars can fall out. It can also have serious consequences for a person's general health. For example, periodontitis has been associated with premature birth, preeclampsia, rheumatoid arthritis, and cardiovascular diseases

“From a cardiological standpoint, careful observation of the status of teeth is gaining more and more significance. Today, we no longer replace heart valves without checking whether the patient has periodontitis.” May 2010

GalvoSurge - peri-implantitis treatment

Peri-implantitis is one of the biggest unsolved problems in implantology, and its occurance is expected to increase over time. Peri-implant diseases are inflammatory conditions affecting the soft and hard tissues around dental implants. Similar to a natural tooth, bacteria can build up on the base of the implant, below the gum line.

This affect on the supporting structures of your implant, causes boneloss and finally leading to loss of your implant / crown / bridge.

Treatment for peri-implantitis typically involves a combination of mechanical

removal of damaged tissue and bacteria and antimicrobial therapy. The goal of these treatment options is decontamination of the tissue around the implant before the infection spreads further in to the jawbone.

Causes can be many and also treatments are also many and with low rates of success, untill NOW!

Peri-implantitis doesn't have to mean dental implant failure

While good, long-term results are difficult to achieve with current dental implant cleaning methods, GalvoSurge offers a new approach.

The unique GalvoSurge mode of action completely removes biofilm from any titanium implant surface with electrolysis.

Quicksleeper-5® is an electronic pen that provides quick, painless anesthesia making your dental procedure more comfortable. The Quicksleeper 5 works in computerized smooth steps. Slowly and without any pressure flued is being processed to the site, which you hardly or may not feel at all. Most patients are still waiting for the needle , when we are delivering the anesthesia.

After the anesthetic has been delivered, we can start the dental procedure immediately. The Quicksleeper 5 does not look like a typical syringe, it looks much like an ordinary pen and takes effect almost instantly, leaving you at ease. The Quicksleeper 5 allows us to numb only the essential portions of the mouth so you aren’t left with a mouth that is numb for hours after treatment.

QuickSleeper is a state of the art electronic injection system with pen grip, causing profound anesthesia, highly efficient, NO NUMBNESS of lip - tongue - cheak, with reduced stress levels.

Have a chat with us if you (and your treatment) are suitable for this type of anesthesia (unfortunately sometimes we have to disappoint someone).
